Are you considering becoming a counselor, therapist, social worker, or other mental health professional? If so, you won’t want to miss this episode.

This week, I kick off a new feature of this podcast — interviews with real life people working in different professions. The goal of these interviews is to provide you with the inside scoop of what it’s like to work in different fields. This is the stuff that don’t teach you in college but is equally important!

In this episode I interview Tracy; a working, seasoned mental health professional. She shares the good, the bad, and the ugly about her current job. I even get her to spill her guts about what you can expect to earn in this field. She also offers several tips that will help you avoid headaches down the road should you decide to enter the field of mental health.

Don’t miss this golden opportunity to learn from her rich experience. If you know someone who is considering the mental health profession, please forward this link to them so they can listen too.

This is the conclusion of the interview with Brad. If you haven’t listened to the first part of this interview, check out episode #6 before you listen to this one.

Brad shares with us how he is behaviorally wired, and describes what type of work environments are a good match for him, and what environments make him nuts. Listen and see if you and Brad share any similarities. He also describes a nearly disastrous career decision that he was able to avoid. I know for a fact that if Brad would have ended up in this one particular career, he would have been destined to experience grand amounts of misery. Thankfully he dodged this bullet — find out what it was.

Lastly, Brad announces his big reveal about where his career path has currently taken him. I won’t let the cat out of the bag here, but I will say that Brad’s current career is a PERFECT fit with his motivators and behavior/personality.
